Stripe Connect, a technology from Stripe, Inc., is Shipt's payment processing platform.
To prevent any disturbances to pay, including pay from weekly payouts or use of the Instant Payout feature, you will need to agree to the Stripe Connect terms in-app. It's also important to make sure your account's direct deposit bank information is for a valid checking account.
- If you were onboarded after November 2020, you would have agreed to the Stripe Connect terms while completing your account setup in the app and no further action is needed.
- If you were onboarded before November 2020, you would have been prompted in-app to agree to the terms. If you have not agreed to the terms, you will see a red notification displayed next to your name in the app's main menu. Please complete the following steps:
- Tap your name to access your account. From the top of the Account screen, tap Review Terms.
- Once you've reviewed Stripe's Terms of Service, tap Agree and submit.
Shipt also partners with Stripe, Inc. to file 1099 tax forms that report shopper earnings.
At the end of each year, you should receive an email from Stripe to verify your tax information is up to date and confirm which delivery method they prefer their tax form to be sent to.
